Black And Violet Floral Hand Embroidered 100% Pure Pashmina Shawl
$575

Stunning hand embroidered Kashmiri Pashmina Shawl. Pashmina, the Persian word for soft, wool-like hair, is handwoven fabric derived from the under fleece of the Changra mountain goat.

Living at 15,000 feet in sub-zero temperatures, the fine Pashmina wool retains its intrinsic softness only when it is cleaned and spun by hand. The slow speed of the spinning wheel and hand-operated looms enable artisans to control, improvise, and manipulate the ultra fine yarn into shape.

Due to the extent of human skill involved in the process of making genuine Pashmina textiles, they are always one of a kind. The product can be identified by certain irregularities in the weave and thickness.

Every handmade Kashmiri Pashmina shawl has the potential of becoming a family heirloom that has a long life and can only improve with age.
